Women's Club

The Women’s Club is the heart of the parish. Our members are among the most active in the parish and our work can blend over into other areas, as we are often asked to

assist with the events of other ministries.  (Most of our members are involved in at least one other ministry.)

Here are just a few things the Women's Club is involved in:

  • Hosts annual events and receptions for the CCD classes
  • Women on the Journey project, which currently involves making blankets for parishioners who are ill or just in need of some extra TLC.
  • We have absorbed the “Cookies,” a group providing food for families after funerals, meals for  the homebound after surgery/illness,  and also meals for the pastor, should he have guests to serve, such as before penance services in Lent and Advent.
  •  Two fundraising bake sales each year, one in November (Thanksgiving) and one in February (Super Bowl).  The money raised is used to fund our parish work and also to support certain groups and causes outside the parish.   Some of the organizations we support are the Dickson County Schools (supplies drive and direct financial support), Nashville Rescue Mission; American Cancer Society, and Unbound, an organization that raises money for underprivileged children and elders.
